Originially sold by J.P. Veron from a backyard meat market in Gramercy, Louisiana, our sausage stays true to the traditional river parish recipe he first made from home in 1938. Red pepper, garlic and seasonings mixed into finely ground boneless shoulder fill tender thin casings that we smoke in our smokehouse for deep local hickory flavor.

Loved from the beginning, our famous red and white package was the first 5 pound boxed sausage available on the market. By the 1950’s Veron’s andouille and sausage flavored stews, gumbos and beans in kitchens across Louisiana. Learning the trade under their father-in-law, Donald Brignac and Willie Loque continued our family tradition of creating fine sausage after J.P. Veron retired in 1973.
As our sausage grew in popularity, our production expanded and we found workers with the skill to master the time honored method of making our family sausage. When J.P. Veron’s grandson became owner in 1999, he ensured the tradition of true Louisiana river parish sausage would continue for generations.
Now packaged for the twenty-first century, Veron’s sausage ships direct around the world and is still delivered by our own trucks to groceries across the state everyday.
